Miss Tiedemann’s 2019-2020 season includes producing several projects for Seaglass Theater Company, where she serves as Artistic Director. In April. she was to return to Boston College as the soprano soloist in Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the University Chorale and Maestro John Finney. That performance has been postponed to a later date due to the Corona virus pandemic.
Her 2018-2019 season began with Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle with the Greater New Bedford Choral Society, and continued with Me & Miss Jones, a parlor concert for the Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum. In April, she made her debut with conductor John Finney and the University Chorale of Boston College in a performance of Dubois’ Seven Last Words of Christ.
Her 2017-2018 season included A Concord Christmas with Seaglass Theater Company and several performances of Bernstein-A 100th Birthday Bash in a collaborative production with The Bostonians and Seaglass Theater Company.
In the 2016-2017 season, she made her debut with the Flickers Arts Collaborative in Sullivan without Gilbert and produced and sang in A Classical Christmas concert as part of the newly formed Seaglass Theater Company, of which she is the Artistic Director. In the spring, she made her debut with the Bostonians as part of Bernstein-An (Almost) 100th Birthday Bash, and joined Seaglass Theater Company to sing highlights from Tosca, Un Ballo in Maschera, and Carmen in their production of Amore! In recent seasons, she has appeared with the Pioneer Valley Symphony as Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, as a soloist for Holiday Pops with the New Bedford Symphony, and the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music with New Bedford Festival Theatre and Theatre by the Sea. She also performed Beethoven’s Mass in C with the Rhode Island Civic Chorale & Orchestra, as Lia in L’enfant Prodigue at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, and Queen Gha in Evangeline with the Longfellow Chorus of Portland, Maine.
Performance highlights include engagements with the Boston Pops for their Holiday Concerts, appearing with Boston Lyric Opera as The Water in the East Coast premiere of The Little Prince; the Foreign Woman in The Consul with Opera Boston, the title role in Madama Butterfly and Mrs. Gleaton in Susannah with Central City Opera; and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus with Opera Providence and Cape Cod Opera. Other notable engagements include Hansel & Gretel with the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Otello with Indianapolis Opera, Mozart’s Requiem with the New Bedford Symphony and Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra, the Verdi Requiem with the Boston Civic Symphony and Worcester Consortium of Colleges, Mahler’s 4th Symphony with both the New Bedford Symphony and the Rhode Island College Symphony, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the North Shore Philharmonic, Knoxville, Summer of 1915 with the Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra, and excerpts from Tosca and Madama Butterfly with Symphony by the Sea. Also a strong proponent of musical theatre, she has also appeared with Theatre by the Sea, New Repertory Theatre, Ocean State Theatre Company and New Bedford Festival Theatre in various productions and cabarets. She is also a featured soloist on the seasonal recording Winter Peace, which benefits the educational programs of the New Bedford Symphony.
She is a graduate of Rhode Island College and received her master’s degree in vocal performance from Indiana University, and received further training as a young artist with Central City Opera and Indianapolis Opera.
